Denis Tricot

Denis Tricot

Denis creates large-scale sculptures in both rural and urban locations that are often animated by dancers, musicians and actors. Working across France and Europe, he is perhaps best known for working with strips of pliable wood, made from poplar, that weave in and around public spaces, street furniture and architecture, creating beautiful structures imbued with a movement and fluidity that forms a response to their surroundings.

For Feast of Fire, Denis will create a new sculpture using poplar strips that will flow in and around Milton Keynes’ iconic black porte cochère street structures on Midsummer Boulevard in the Theatre District. These will be lit by firelight and accompanied by live music.
