Willow Mitchell
Willow works across many art forms, mediums and
processes, the continuity in her practice comes in the acts of collaboration
and a real emphasis on playful experimentation.
She has worked with a number of arts organisations and child
centred settings across the UK and Germany, devising and delivering projects
and have a strong practice centred on participation and inclusion.
She creates with and amongst people, organically sharing ideas
and constructing immersive environments that hold and shape moments of play and
exchange, ever flexing to the curiosity of the collaborators. Whether families,
the young or the old they make, create and play together.
Storytelling often weaves into these acts as the narratives
of familiar and often domestic objects are fleetingly repurposed and then
reactivated by many hands, creating scenes of and space for communal
exploration, exchange and play.
